      • The new Visitor Centre is rumoured to be having a cafe if it ever opens! The tearooms have been sold since closing but I have been unable to find out the intentions of the new owner despite asking a few local residents and the Parish Council.

  1. Hello. Please could you tell me if it is currently possible (safe) to get down to the sea at any points in the Country Park, eg Covehurst beach? Many thanks,
    Rosemary

    • Hastings Borough Council have not maintained a safe access to the beach at Covehurst for many years now and are unlikely to do so again in the foreseeable future, I’m afraid.

  2. Please could you let me know if anyone has handed in a black plastic-fobbed, Kia car key? It tell out of my bag while I was out walking in Hastings Country Park last Sunday (23rd August). I’m in touch with East Sussex sílice too, in case the key is handed in to them. Thank you!

    • Sorry Lucy, the Visitor Centre was closed because of Covid 19, but now it appears that the closure is permanent. The latest opening date for the new building is next Spring. Were the Visitor Centre still open anyone handing an item of value such as your car keys in would have been asked to take it to the Police station as HBC have a policy of not taking in lost property there.
